MINING

Gold was first discovered across the Tatau Island gold field in 1932. In fact Toki Toki on the East Coast of Tatau Island, is the first noted place of commercial mineral exploration in Papua New Guinea. Located along the same Volcanic Arc as the Bougainville Copper/Gold Mine and Lihir Gold Mine, it is noted for its high gold and copper gradings, and the size of gold nuggets found in her creeks and streams. Western Pacific Mining is the first company to ever hold resource owner Exploration and Mining Joint Venture Contracts, and PNG Government approved Mining Licenses on Tatau Island.

These highly mineralised reserves are approximately 70 square kilometres in size, with Western Pacific Mining holding individual Resource Owner Contracts for 100% of the area.

These long term contracts include exclusive Exploration, Small and Large Scale Mining, and Project Management.

After acquiring PNG Government approved Mining Licenses, the Western Pacific Mining operated Hurricane Gold Mine and Tornado Gold Mine, which are located at the centre of the richest gold and copper deposit in the North West of the Island, have already commenced mining operations. Our hi-tech alluvial gold mining equipment allows streamlined processing of up to 50 tonnes per hour of materials from soft clay through to small gravels and quartz.

In these same areas, our satellite exploration techniques have discovered substantial mineralisation, together with thermal springs which are similar to those at the nearby Lihir Gold Mine, which is one of the largest gold reserves in the world.

The Hurricane and Tornado Gold Mines include mining camps, and new landing port facilities which will service a variety of projects. As our other mining projects come on line from 2025 (licenses permitting), a hi-tech conveyor belt system will be developed to transport high grade ore from the various pit areas to a coastal alluvial processing plant and port facility.

We are confident in saying that Western Pacific Mining can deliver and operate, the first major 'non cyanide' processing plant in Papua New Guinea.

We also plan to run our entire processing systems on solar energy, and have an immediate view to operating 100% electric mining machinery and vehicles.
