Alluvial Gold Mining
The Hurricane Gold/Copper Mine on Tatau Island in Papua New Guinea, shows high concentrations of Gold, Copper and Silver. The ore samples and extracted Gold (pictured), are representative of the alluvial mining taking place.

Our Alluvial Mining processing systems on Tatau Island use no chemicals whatsoever, and we pride ourselves on an environmentally friendly mining operation, where natural creeks are diverted around our mining areas, and our tailings and pump ponds do not impact the natural vegetation, or downstream water access for our landowner communities.
Western Pacific Mining takes pride in employing Papua New Guineans in a wide variety of roles. Our Tatau Island mining crew are local, highly trained and provide a great incentive for children on the island to study hard at school, and thereby give themselves a great opportunity to join our company in the future.
